Electronic Reserves

Electronic course materials on reserve are located in Brightspace, under the course name.

Enter the UMFK portal by clicking on the My.UMFK link at the top of most UMFK web pages or click here: https://my.umfk.edu

Click on the Brightspace icon (brightspace logo thumbnail), then click the required course.

URSUS Reserves

!!! MANY TEXTBOOKS AVAILABLE ON RESERVE !!! Check the "URSUS Reserves" link or check with library staff to see if a book you need may be on reserve.

Hard copy reserve items are found at the circulation desk. Ask for the materials by course name and number (eg. COS 103) and item title. Most items are available for two hours, in-library use only. Where there are duplicate copies, items may be available for up to one week.

 

Faculty:

Faculty can place commonly used items in one location for multiple students to use . Contact Dana Appleby by email, by phone, or in person to place items on reserve. A form is also available online for both regular reserve items and electronic reserve items.

Faculty may restrict the loan period to:

Loan Period Notes
Closed Reserve 2 hours (items are used in the library only)
Closed Reserve 2 hours with overnight option (items are used in the library only unless checked out before closing)
Open Reserve 2 hours (all open reserves: items may be taken from the library for the allotted time)
Open Reserve 1 day  
Open Reserve 2 days  
Open Reserve 3 days  
Open Reserve 1 week
